The tool, as is
shinmuscat is free and provided as is, with no warranty and no guarantee that it keeps working. TikTok can change how their pages work at any time, and shinmuscat can break or go offline without notice.
Public videos only
shinmuscat works with public TikTok videos only. You're responsible for having the right to use whatever you transcribe, and for respecting copyright, TikTok's own terms and the creator's rights. Transcripts are meant for things like quoting, research, subtitles and repurposing your own work.
Not affiliated with TikTok
shinmuscat is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to TikTok or ByteDance.
Fair use
Requests are rate limited to 8 per IP address per minute. Don't automate bulk scraping, resell access to the tool, or try to get around the limits.
Accuracy
The text comes from the video's own caption track, which can contain errors, mishear words or miss lines entirely. Check a quote against the video before you publish it.
Tips
Tips are voluntary. They are not payment for a service and are not refundable. Tipping buys no support, no feature and no priority.
Liability
Liability is limited as far as the law allows. Use the tool at your own risk.

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Singapore.
