How to Save a TikTok Transcript Offline

Offline means a file you keep after the tab is gone. Screenshots are not that. A clipboard paste is fine for one quote. The durable path is a download.

Browser recent picks are not an archive

shinmuscat keeps your last 12 transcripts in your own browser so you can reopen them. The homepage FAQ says nothing for that history is stored on shinmuscat's servers, and there is no account. Clear site data, switch devices, or roll past the 12-cap, and those recent picks may be gone. For a copy that survives, download a file.

Steps

1. On a public TikTok that already has captions, open Share and copy the link.
2. Paste it into shinmuscat and press Pick every word.
3. When the transcript loads, download by job:
   • TXT for docs, notes, and offline reading (primary offline-words path; full steps on how to download a TikTok transcript as TXT)
   • SRT for CapCut, Premiere, Resolve, or YouTube (TikTok captions to SRT)
   • VTT for web players (turn TikTok captions into VTT)
4. Open or move the file from your Downloads or Files folder. That file is the offline copy.

Phone

Any mobile browser works. Nothing to install. The same download lands in the phone's Files or Downloads area, depending on the browser.

Limits

Works on public TikTok videos up to 10 minutes that already have captions. Free, unlimited, no login. Caption-read only: the tool does not listen to the audio.
